The Bare Truth

Before incomparable Bruce Lee went 'bare' for fans in 1973,

I went bare in a small room  in 1969.

What is the most controversial of feats in 1927

Master K'un  in  China smashing brick.

Was it a geniune feat? Propaganda?

Historians and scholars agree Kun worked hard in the field during the day

as a laborer. No records of any fight matches to compare his wit or strength.

Mao Tse Tung pulled a stunt during the 1970's. Chairman swam over 2 miles

with his body pulling tug boats.

Magic? Vital life force?

Neither man lived to be a hundred. So much for 'vitality'. That leaves a show of magic as best explanation ?

CHEERS

Dated July 29, 1923

Pilsner Orange Cup.

That was a Beer Brewery. They held family picnics every summer.

We always start a debate. The taller standing gentlemen on the photo left.

Was he  tall stature  or up on a scaffold to cheer --beer mug in hand?

Joe,The Boys & That Magic Ring Yrs 1910 & 1927

Top photo left

That's Joe Neuman and buddies during 1910.

Fritz is on the right with  solemn expression.

Peanuts, hot dogs were staples at Baseball games.

But baseball was not the only game in town.

The youth became affilited with  the Sokol Gymnasts Group

They delighted crowds with daring acrobatics and feats

as they grew  brawn and reached adulthood.

At a quick glance,

Their physiques changed from 1910 through 1927.

Personaility evidenced by facial expression remained  the same.

The wonders of time with photography feature matured Joe and Fritz

to his right - still his 'right hand man'.

THE STORY Of THE MAGIC RING

Joe was a inspiration for my

Green  Ring Logo. He was a Master Mason

The Masonic Order (Masons) during time of need communicated with display of their ruby red rings.

Ruby red with compass and square insignia.

At the height of their power Masons could get position ,charity and even a bank loan

with  Lodge connections and the flash of the Masonic Ring.

I needed a location for my gym. Locations for gyms were hard to get because Landlords did

not take the business model serious. Joe went on a crusade, flashing his jeweled finger to landlords on

my behalf. We got our location. Joe as competitive as he was ,became my first Black Belt in

Martial Arts. That's what we gave him . He gave us inspiration with his Masonry.

Meanwhile, Down On The Farm

Many argue who gets the credit:
The photographer or John the performer
of the 'perfect plane'.

With caped costume he would have been perfect

Superman feature detailed down to hair lock.

The group of Gymnasts Betty writes practiced,
competed and gave exhibitions on Sohol Farms
near Cleveland Ohio on Sunday's. The year 1927.

1920's Betty Neuman made them Roar

Thats my In -Law Betty Neuman Year 1927

Her artistic side shows. How?

Look at the handlebars she drew on both sides of her newspaper clipping.

Still further, she included black background and painted letters in white.

All for us decades later to re-discover the  November 23, 1927 dated piece.

This was during the so called Roaring 20's era.

That is a Radio set of the day Betty is modeling. Notice the circular speaker tower.

Did I say boombox?

1927 The Roaring Twenties. That's how Betty Neuman and Radio made times roar .
